Discover Catholic Business is an online directory that connects Catholic consumers with faith-aligned businesses across the United States and internationally. The Service includes a searchable business directory, business listing profiles, user reviews, business discovery features, embeddable directory widgets for parishes, and paid listing subscription tiers.
DCB is a platform for business discovery only. We are not a party to any transaction between users and listed businesses. We do not guarantee, endorse, or verify any business's services, quality, pricing, Catholic identity, adherence to Catholic values, or suitability for any particular purpose. Interactions with any business found through our Service are at your own risk.
No professional advice: Nothing on this Service constitutes professional, financial, legal, medical, or religious advice. The Service provides directory information only. You should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.
Creating an account on DCB is free. Account creation and sign-in are required solely to verify that you are a real person and to protect our Service from bots, scrapers, and other nefarious actors. We do not require login to harvest, sell, or share your personal data with third parties. The authentication requirement exists purely as a security measure to preserve the integrity of our directory and ensure a quality experience for all users.
When you create an account, you agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account at our sole discretion for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms, abusive behavior, suspected bot activity, or any conduct we deem harmful to the Service or its users. Banned users may not create new accounts.
Discover Catholic Business exercises full and absolute editorial discretion over the content of its directory. We reserve the unrestricted right to:
Some business listing information in our directory is compiled from publicly available sources on the internet, including business websites, public directories, and public records. Inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement, partnership, affiliation, or recommendation by DCB. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information. Business owners may request updates or removal of their listing by contacting us at hello@discovercatholicbusiness.com, though we are under no obligation to honor such requests on any particular timeline.
No business is entitled to a listing on DCB. The decision to include, feature, demote, or remove any listing is entirely within our discretion and is not subject to appeal or review.
DCB offers paid listing tiers (Basic, Premium, Partner) and embeddable widget subscriptions for parishes and organizations. Paid services are billed on a recurring subscription basis through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD). You are solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees imposed by your jurisdiction in connection with your use of paid services.
All purchases and subscription payments are final and non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:
By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy. If you have billing questions, contact us at hello@discovercatholicbusiness.com.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account and all associated services pending resolution of the dispute. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and pursuit of all available legal remedies, including recovery of the disputed amount, chargeback fees, and associated costs.

Automated access to the Service must comply with our robots.txt file. Any access that violates our robots.txt directives is unauthorized and constitutes a violation of these Terms.
Violations of these Terms, particularly the prohibited activities in Section 11, may result in:
We actively monitor for scraping activity, abuse, and Terms violations and maintain detailed access logs. Unauthorized automated access may violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and similar state and federal laws. We reserve all rights and remedies available at law and in equity.
The Service contains links to third-party websites, including the websites of listed businesses, payment processors, and other external services. These links are provided for your convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any linked website. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement by DCB.
Your interactions with third-party websites and services, including any transactions, are solely between you and the third party. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on any third-party content, goods, or services.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violations of these Terms, suspected fraudulent or abusive activity, extended periods of inactivity, or any conduct that we determine, in our sole judgment, to be harmful to the Service, its users, or the Catholic community.
You may delete your own account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion or termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We are not obligated to retain or provide copies of any data associated with your account.
The following provisions shall survive termination of these Terms: Sections 2 (Eligibility), 6 (Paid Services), 7 (Widget and API Terms), 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (DMCA), 10 (User Content), 12 (Enforcement), 13 (Third-Party Links), 16 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 17 (Limitation of Liability), 18 (Indemnification), 19 (Dispute Resolution), 20 (Governing Law), 21 (Force Majeure), and 22 (General Provisions).
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. As stated therein, we do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not collect data on behalf of third parties, and we do not provide third-party access to user data for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose. Your data is used solely to operate and improve the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the quality, accuracy, timeliness, truthfulness, completeness, or reliability of any Content or business listings available through the Service.
We do not verify or endorse any business listed in the directory. The inclusion of a business does not imply any warranty regarding that business's products, services, quality, safety, legality, or Catholic identity. You assume all risk in relying on any information provided through the Service. No information or advice, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated herein.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Discover Catholic Business, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (c) any content obtained from the Service; (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content; (e) any interactions with businesses listed on the Service; or (f) any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service.
In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Discover Catholic Business, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; (d) any User Content you submit to the Service; or (e) your negligent or willful misconduct.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through the courts of the State of Texas.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Discover Catholic Business.
Statute of Limitations: You agree that any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to your use of the Service or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or be permanently barred. This limitation applies regardless of any statute of limitations or other law to the contrary.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms.
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, government actions or orders, pandemics or epidemics, cyberattacks, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, failures of third-party service providers (including but not limited to hosting, payment processing, authentication, and database providers), fire, flood, earthquake, or other force majeure events.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this provision is void. We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time without notice or consent, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
By creating an account or using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including but not limited to emails, service announcements, administrative messages, and legal notices. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You agree to comply with all applicable United States export and re-export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce, trade and economic sanctions maintained by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control, and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations maintained by the Department of State.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
These Terms do not confer any third-party beneficiary rights. No person or entity other than you and Discover Catholic Business has any rights under these Terms.
Section headings in these Terms are for convenience of reference only and shall not affect the interpretation or construction of these Terms.
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any provision on one occasion shall not be deemed a waiver of any other provision or of the same provision on any subsequent occasion.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features of the Service (including Widget and API terms in Section 7), constitute the entire agreement between you and Discover Catholic Business regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral.
