Discover Catholic Business is an online directory connecting Catholic consumers with faith-aligned businesses. We provide a platform for business discovery, not a guarantee of any business's services, quality, or adherence to Catholic values.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this website, including but not limited to the business directory, business listings, descriptions, categorizations, curated collections, database structure, website design, logos, and text (collectively, “Content”) is the exclusive property of Discover Catholic Business and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The compilation, organization, and arrangement of business listings constitutes a valuable database and trade secret of Discover Catholic Business. This database represents years of curation, verification, and development.

4. Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree NOT to engage in any of the following activities:

Data Scraping: Using any automated means, including but not limited to robots, spiders, scrapers, crawlers, or any other automated device, program, algorithm, or methodology to access, acquire, copy, or monitor any portion of the Service or Content.
Bulk Data Collection: Systematically downloading, copying, or storing business listings, whether manually or through automated means.
Database Reproduction: Creating, compiling, or building a database, directory, or collection by systematically extracting business information from our Service.
Commercial Exploitation: Using scraped or collected data for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to creating competing directories, selling leads, or marketing services.
Circumvention: Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security measures, rate limiting, or access controls on the Service.
Misrepresentation: Accessing the Service under false pretenses or misrepresenting your identity or intentions.

5. Enforcement and Remedies

Violations of these Terms, particularly the prohibited activities in Section 4, may result in:

Immediate termination of access to the Service
Legal action for damages, including statutory damages under applicable law
Injunctive relief to prevent further violations
Recovery of attorney's fees and costs
Reporting to relevant authorities for computer fraud violations

We actively monitor for scraping activity and maintain logs of all access to our Service. Unauthorized access may violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and similar state laws.

Businesses listed in our directory are included at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time for any reason. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISCOVER CATHOLIC BUSINESS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
