What happens when a tradesman starts a heating and cooling business in post-war San Antonio—and his family keeps it running for 80 years?
Meet Arnold Moos Company—the San Antonio, Texas plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company that has been serving South Texas families since 1945. When Arnold Moos introduced his services to San Antonio nearly eight decades ago, he built his business on a simple philosophy: quality work, honest service, and treating customers like neighbors.
Three generations later, the Arnold Moos Company remains family-owned and operated, still believing in the same philosophy that built the business—even as they've grown to serve homes, restaurants, offices, and churches throughout San Antonio and surrounding counties.
Eight Decades of Family Service
Since 1945, the Arnold Moos Company has been a constant in San Antonio's business landscape:
- Founded in the aftermath of World War II
- Family-owned for three generations
- Still operating on the same principles as day one
- Serving residential and commercial customers throughout the region
When San Antonio was growing from a military town into a major metropolitan area, Arnold Moos Company was there—installing systems in new homes, servicing businesses, and building relationships that lasted for decades.
Today, when you call Arnold Moos, you're calling a company where the family's name is still on the door and their values still guide every job.

Why This Matters
Eighty years of continuous family ownership in the same trade is extraordinary by any measure. Arnold Moos Company represents something that is rapidly disappearing in America: a multi-generational skilled trades business where the family name on the door means personal accountability for every job. Their service to San Antonio's churches, homes, and businesses since 1945 means that when your AC fails in a brutal Texas August, you are calling people who have been keeping South Texas comfortable since before the interstate highway system existed. That depth of experience in local conditions simply cannot be replicated by a franchise operation.
